Mel's Dog House Update

Hello to all customers and friends of Mel's Dog House,

This is Nikki, a good friend of Melissa’s. Unfortunately, I’m writing today to share that Melissa is currently undergoing treatment for a health issue that will require her to remain in the hospital for an extended period of time.

We want to assure everyone that operations at Mel’s Dog House will continue with the same love and care you know and trust, with only a few minor adjustments during this time. Melissa has an amazing team of employees, along with a wonderful support system of family and friends, all stepping in to help.

All current reservations will be honored as scheduled. However, we will not be accepting any new VIP boarding reservations until we know a little more about Melissa’s condition and recovery timeline.

For those with existing VIP boarding reservations, Melissa has asked Jason, a close friend of 22 years, to stay at the house and care for the dogs overnight. Jason has learned everything he knows from Melissa and will care for your dogs just as she would.Barn boarding and daycare reservations will remain open and continue operating as normal.

I’m happy to answer any questions anyone may have during this time. We truly appreciate your continued support for Melissa and Mel’s Dog House, and I will provide updates as needed. Thank you all for your kindness, patience, and support.

We now offer exclusive in-home-dog boarding, with Mel's approval, your pup can stay in the comfort of her home for a truly personalized, high-end experience. This premium service includes extra one-on-one attention, a relaxing home environment, and all the comforts your dog deserves.

What do you need for their stay?

Food in a secure container labeled with their name and amount given per a meal
Medications in their original prescribed container, also with clear instructions of quantity and time of administration.
Bedding or blanket to snuggle up with after a long day of play

Melissa:

Melissa was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She has always had a passion for working with dogs because they show us the importance of friendship, love, and loyalty. She has spent the last 20 years working in the doggie daycare industry learning how to run one herself. After gaining years of experience and knowledge, Melissa decided it was time to follow her heart and open her very own doggie daycare and boarding business. She thrives on helping dogs and their owners be a better team.

Melissa has a variety of animals herself. Her three sidekicks Monty, Koda, and Ranger love to greet all their four-legged friends into the pack. Pedro is a blue & gold macaw that enjoys singing and saying hello to all the guest that come to see her.
